  • People come to therapy seeking help in many areas of their lives, to name some: depression, anxiety, suicidality, trauma, communication issues, life transitions, grief and loss, navigating mental health diagnoses, sexual intimacy…

In our training we have treated many presenting problems with many clients. It is our ethical duty to be both nondiscriminatory and to provide therapy within our scope of practice.

  • Our rates vary based on the type of service you receive.

Currently, our individual/couple/family rates are $100 per session, and our group therapy is $60 per session.

  • We do not have in-person therapy at this time. We look forward to providing in-person services to clients in Lubbock, Texas and the surrounding surrounding areas!

  • “LMFT” stands for “licensed marriage and family therapist” which signifies that those with this title have completed at least a master’s degree in preparation to enter the mental health field. During their master’s program, they completed course work and at least 500 clinical hours (250 treating couples/families and 250 treating individuals). Additionally, they have passed a national licensing exam and have been cleared by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council to practice therapy.

“Associate” signifies that people with this title still receive supervision from a fully licensed supervisor (LMFT-Supervisor) until they complete 3,000 additional hours post-graduation in a minimum of two additional years.

  • Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to accept insurance as LMFT-Associates.
When we have clinicians who are able to accept insurance we will inform our clients.
We can, however, provide a superbill that you can give your insurance for reimbursement purposes at your request*

*We cannot guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you for any services, even when we provide a superbill. Please reach out to your insurance company to inquire about reimbursement!

  • The length of therapy is dependent on several factors including client motivation and willingness to change, therapy modality, and many others.

Some clients attend therapy for less than a handful of sessions, others for weeks or months, and some for years. Our goal is to help you reach your therapeutic goals as soon as possible so that you can experience greater happiness and peace in your life!

It is our ethical duty to conduct therapy only as long as it is benefitting our clients. We make goals and construct treatment plans to help us measure progress in therapy and ensure we are being ethical.

  • Confidentiality is our duty to protect the information shared with us within the bounds of therapy. We can share confidential information to collaborate with other professionals through supervision and a release of information to better inform your care.

In the state of Texas, there are limits to our confidentiality where we must make a report through the appropriate channels including abuse or neglect of children/elderly/disabled persons as well as court-ordered subpoenas. We will also break confidentiality in the case of suicidal or homicidal ideation when there is a victim in danger of harm.

  • We will not help in court unless required to do so by a subpoena. Depending on the subpoena, additional charges to your account may occur.

  • As part of our course work we became familiar with the Diagnostic Statistics Manual-V (DSM-V) and its diagnoses. If you are seeking a diagnosis we can consider the implications of a diagnosis together and refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist if higher level of care is needed.
